Il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra e dell’Ambiente offre competenze specializzate, consulenze e servizi tecnici, a disposizione di soggetti pubblici quali enti locali, enti per la conservazione della natura, agenzie per la protezione dell’ambiente, ma anche soggetti privati, ad esempio provenienti dal mondo dell’industria e dell’agro-tech.
Stipuliamo contratti con imprese ed enti che partecipano con noi ad attività di ricerca e sviluppo, e che possono offrire opportunità scientifiche e professionali ai nostri studenti, dottorandi e giovani ricercatori.
Contribuiamo alla formazione di ricercatori e professionisti di tutto il mondo, tramite l’organizzazione di scuole estive e scuole invernali internazionali.
Rendiamo partecipe il pubblico non-accademico delle nostre scoperte scientifiche più importanti, tramite uscite stampa, realizzazione di materiale divulgativo, organizzazione di eventi, o attività di crowdfunding.
The University of Pavia periodically holds public competitions, based on qualifications and interviews, for the award of grants in support of research activities and of scholarships for study and research, to be undertaken in the Department; scale and duration of financial support varies according to the type of scheme. These opportunities are advertised on the official University register.
The Office for International Relations promotes and manages mobility programmes for incoming and outgoing students, faculty and technical-administrative staff, and offers a reception service to exchange students.
The highest level of academic qualification is offered by the Doctoral Programme in Earth and Environmental Sciences. In support of applications for research funding, researchers at the University of Pavia are assisted by the Research and Third Mission Office at all stages of a project, from the early stage of idea development to that of proposal submission, and beyond for activities of dissemination and reporting. Undergraduate and doctoral students are supported in proposing their Theses for academic Awards.
