Public Engagement

The research of the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Pavia is not confined to laboratories; it is communicated and disseminated to non-academic audiences through the development of non-profit activities of cultural, educational, and socially beneficial value.

We are committed to disseminating our most significant scientific discoveries and our most interesting activities through various media: newspapers and magazines, radio, television news, and in-depth programs, as well as popular websites, web TV, and our social media channels.

We organize or participate in festivals, scientific coffees and aperitifs, in-person seminars and webinars, nature excursions, market exhibitions, concerts, and shows, as well as interactive activities aimed at young and very young audiences.

We participate in the production of television documentaries and educational science videos.

We directly involve the public, making them an active participant in our research projects, including through the University crowdfunding platform, Universitiamo by Unipv.
