Measurement of water chemical and physical parameters (dissolved oxygen, hardness, conductivity, chlorine, temperature, flow rate)
Water quality through macroinvertebrate and diatom community analysis, river functionality through IFF
Fish sampling to define population composition
Scalimetric analyses to define the demographic structure of fish populations
Thematic maps and environmental suitability maps using geographic information systems (GIS) and ecological niche models (ENM, SPD)
Analysis of torrential and fluvial habitats, including mesohabitat studies
Assessment of the effects of dams, water intakes, and diversions, and calculation of the minimum vital flow (MVF)
