Our main activities: survey of fungal diversity in several environments; analysis of fungal diversity at the genetic, population and species level; metabarcoding analysis; taxa identification through morphological as well as molecular methods; diagnostics of diversity groups for edible and medicinal fungi, as well as for other applications.
Our researches address both microfungi from several enviromental matrices and macrofungi; as concerns the latter, wood decay species are our greatest interest.
Our Laboratory also includes a research culture collection of fungal strains (MicUNIPV).
