Its origin is much older: it began in 1874 as “Archivio Triennale del Laboratorio di Botanica Crittogamica presso la Regia Università di Pavia” (Triennial Archive of the Cryptogamic Botany Laboratory at the Royal University of Pavia), later merged into “Atti dell’Istituto Botanico dell’Università di Pavia” (Proceedings of the Botanical Institute of the University of Pavia, in 1888), and again into “Atti dell'Istituto di botanica e del laboratorio crittogamico dell'Università di Pavia” (Proceedings of the Institute of Botany and Cryptogamic Laboratory of the University of Pavia, in 1930). Articles cover original research, proceedings of scientific conferences and book reviews on the topics of Geobotany, Plant Ecology and Plant Taxonomy.
