The following activities are carried out in the laboratory as part of the ‘Biodiversity and Environmental Sustainability of the Agroecosystem’ research line:
• DNA and RNA extraction from plants
• DNA amplification by PCR
• DNA electrophoresis
• RNA reverse transcription
• Identification of plants using morphological keys and molecular techniques (RFLP)
• Genetic diversity analysis using molecular markers (RAPD and SSR)
• Expression analysis of genes and miRNAs by real-time PCR
• Assessment of epigenetic mechanisms (miRNA, methylation) involved in the stressor
response
• Screening for the main mechanisms of herbicide resistance (TSR, NTSR)
• Environmental DNA (eDNA) extraction and metagenomic analysis
