1. Behavior of Geochronometers in Different Lithological Microdomains
The research group studies the behavior of geochronometers in lithologies with strong compositional contrasts at the microscale. Specifically, we seek to investigate the different reactivity of geochronometers as a function of the chemical composition of the surrounding minerals (microdomains).
2. Relationship between Deformation and Geochemistry
Deformation causes chemical changes within the crystal lattices of accessory minerals, resulting in perturbations of isotopic systems. The research group studies the effects recorded by geochronometers in the presence of brittle-ductile deformation that developed in the lithosphere.
3. Geochronological, Petrological, and Microstructural Evolution of Geological Units
Geochronological, Petrological, and Microstructural Evolution of Geological Units.
The research group studies various areas of the Alpine and Variscan mountain chains, following a multidisciplinary approach based on field observations, petrographic and microstructural analysis, and geochemical and geochronological analyses.
