1. Evolution of collisional orogens: subduction and exhumation in Alpine-type chains.
Reconstruct the P-T-d-t paths recorded by rocks involved in orogenic processes (subduction and exhumation) to identify tectonometamorphic units and reconstruct the geodynamic evolution of orogens. Projects are currently active in the axial part of the Alpine Chain, the Variscan Orogen, Sweden, and Norway.
2. Preservation of metamorphic paragenesis: mechanisms and factors influencing reactions in polymetamorphic rocks
Improve our understanding of the mechanisms of preservation of metamorphic paragenesis and the factors influencing them through multiscale (meso- to micro-) petrological, geochemical, and structural analyses supported by thermodynamic modeling, absolute dating, detailed structural analysis, and detailed petrostructural mapping.
