Research topics

1) Conservation of the freshwater crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes)
2) Control and management of alien crayfish
3) Reproductive biology of the freshwater crayfish

Research on the freshwater crayfish (Austropotamobius pallipes) aims to protect and increase natural populations through conservation projects within the Natura 2000 network. We have collected data on morphology, ecology, dispersal, and reproductive biology.
