Research topics

1. Herbicide Resistance and Epigenetic Mechanisms

Using an innovative multidisciplinary approach, we study the involvement of epigenetic mechanisms in the evolution of resistance in weeds exposed to herbicide selective pressure and in relation to environmental factors.

2. Interaction between Microbial Biodiversity and Incidence of Herbicide Resistance

Metagenomics of agricultural soils to develop predictive hypotheses regarding the greater or lesser likelihood of resistance in weeds, based on possible relationships between microbial composition and incidence of resistance.
