1. Seismic Hazard
By integrating different types of data (soil, subsurface, seismological, laboratory, and remote sensing), we detect evidence of fault activity and attempt to define their state of activity and potential for (re)activation.
2. 3D Reconstructions of Subsurface Data
3D reconstructions are now a commonly used tool and are particularly useful for many purposes (seismotectonic analysis, reconstruction of individual geological structures, and quantitative analyses at a basin scale). Using dedicated software, it is possible to reconstruct surfaces and volumes at various scales and depths.
3. Slip Rate Analysis
The analysis and calculation of fault plane slip rates are the basis for subsequent seismic hazard analyses and provide valuable insights into the kinematics and past evolution of fault systems.
